Overview

Hybrid role in corporate office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Grants Technician. Under the supervision of the Director of Grant Management, the Grants Technician is responsible for electronic file management, tracking project timelines, and aiding in proposal development and submission. They must excel in both internal and external collaboration and communication. Key duties include monitoring and tracking grant-funded projects, maintaining progress reports, and researching new grant opportunities. This role is vital for the successful execution of grant-funded projects and encompasses a range of administrative support tasks.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all grant activities.
  • Providing administrative support for grant-related activities.
  • Coordinating grant project timelines and ensuring deadlines are met, maintaining a calendar of grant-related activities.
  • Reviewing grant agreements and ensuring understanding of terms and conditions.
  • Ensuring compliance with grantor guidelines and requirements.
  • Conducting research to identify new grant opportunities.
  • Assisting in the development of policies and procedures for grant management.
  • Monitoring and tracking grant proposals and other grant-related activities such as expenditures and budgets.
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of grant proposals.
  • Collaborating with program managers and other team members.
  • Facilitating communication between project teams and grantors for updates or changes.
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations and briefings on grant-related matters.
  • Reporting on grant progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related tasks; three years of experience in program/project research, analysis, and data reporting preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws related to grants management (Uniform Administrative Requirements, OMB guidance 2CRF Part 200, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards) is a plus.
  • SOR grant knowledge preferred.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR, Part 2

Tools and Equipment

  • Frequent use of a telephone, computer, printer, fax machine and copier
  • Frequent use of the internet and various web browser software, and Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
