Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Pharmacist responsible for the operation of the pharmacy in compliance with all laws and rules pertinent to the practice of pharmacy in their state of employment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Follows all guidelines, regulations, and codes established by state where the pharmacy is operating where the state regulations require the use of a pharmacist.
  • Maintains the CMS pharmacy for their location, including Pharmacist in charge if applicable per state regulations.
  • Orders, monitors, prepares, stores, repackages, dispenses, and distributes medication for clients, as established within the facility.
  • Prepares take-home medication in advance for administration by nursing staff.
  • Provides training, supervision, and direction for pharmacy, medical and nursing staff, as requested or needed to comply with the requirements and processes of the pharmacy in their assigned state or region.
  • May assist nursing staff with administering medication to clients as needed.

Qualifications

Education, Certification and Experience Requirements:

  • Licensed as a pharmacist in the state of employment
  • Experience in substance use rehabilitation or medication-assisted treatment pharmacy services preferred but not required
  • Basic to intermediate computer knowledge
  • Problem solving, conflict resolution, and strong customer service skills
  • Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
  • Flexible with the ability to work in a continuously changing environment
  • Proficient in the practice of pharmacy
  • Required sensitivity to the needs of those who are chemically dependent

Tools and Equipment Requirements:

  • The ability to use a phone, computer, printer, and copier is required.
  • Frequent use of Microsoft office products, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to use the internet and various web browser software is required.

Physical Working Conditions and Office Setting Description:

  • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
  • Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching.
  • Some lifting may be required.
  • Frequent and prolonged typing and frequent and prolonged operation of computer, keyboard, and telephones required.
  • Requires occasional use of fax machines, telephones, copiers, and other office equipment.
  • Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
